Here's a list of top Android smartphones which flaunt edge-to-edge displays with 18:9 aspect ratio.

2017 is the year of edge-to-edge display as we see manufacturers from Xiaomi to Samsung embracing the new aspect ratio of 18:9. With narrower bezels, not only are elements home button and navigation buttons removed, but such displays also take a user’s viewing and engaging experience a notch higher. If you are a fan of bigger displays with thinner bezels, here is our list of top smartphones which boast the newer display design, and are priced under Rs 40,000.

OnePlus 5T

Fresh in the market, OnePlus 5T launched last night, and among its highlights is the new edge-to-edge display. As a successor to the OnePlus 5, the newly-launched 5T features a massive 6.01-inch Full Optic AMOLED display with full HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) resolution and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The narrow bezel design is one of the factors that differentiates it from the OnePlus 5. With dual cameras as the second highlight, OnePlus 5T will be going on sale priced at Rs 32,999 for the base model with 6GB of RAM, and Rs 37,999 for the high-end model with 8GB of RAM.

Oppo F5

Akin to the OnePlus 5T, the Oppo F5 also features an edge-to-edge 6-inch full HD+ display. Coming from Oppo’s portfolio, the F5 also boasts selfie-centric capabilities. It features a 20-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Price of the Oppo F5 is Rs 19,990.

Honor 9i

Honor 9i is the cheapest smartphone in our list of 18:9 display phones. Priced at Rs 17,999, it features a 5.9-inch QHD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution display. Although the side bezels are narrower on the smartphone, the top and bottom bezels continue to be prominent. Other highlight of the smartphone is its dual-camera setup, which is a combination of 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel cameras at the back.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2

The second-generation device from Xiaomi’s Mi MIX range, the Mi MIX 2, launched in India at Rs 35,999. The phablet packs a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio 18:9 aspect ratio. Unlike other phones, the Mi MIX 2 features a front camera which is repositioned at the chin of the front panel, giving an iPhone X-like edge-to-edge appearance.

Vivo V7+

Another selfie-centric smartphone in the list, the Vivo V7+ features a 5.99-inch HD+ display. Now, this display resolution might stand a notch lesser than the competing Oppo F5 that also comes with an edge-to-edge display, however, the V7+ compensates with its 24-megapixel front camera that comes with a  portrait mode for DSLR-like Bokeh effect to self portraits. The Vivo V7+ is priced at Rs 21,990.

CIA accused of spying on India's Aadhaar data through UIDAI verified biometrics company Cross Match

A WikiLeaks report points out that the CIA uses a covert information collection tool called ExpressLane to spy on India's Aadhaar data. The Indian government has reportedly denied any such data leaks and breach of privacy. A new report from GGI News cites a recent WikiLeaks expose, saying that the US intelligence agency, CIA, may have access to the biometric data of India’s 1.17 billion Aadhaar card users. As per the WikiLeaks report, the CIA uses a covert information collection tool to snoop on other US-based intelligence organisations like the National Security Agency, the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Sarahah app exposed for quietly uploading users' contacts to company servers without proper permissions

The anonymous messaging app Sarahah has been uploading your phone’s contacts to the company’s servers without your knowledge or permission. The security loophole was first discovered by analyst Zachary Julian and The Intercept was the first publication to report the same. The harvesting of a user's contacts is a big setback for users of the Sarahah app and opens them up to multiple security risks. Sarahah's privacy policy states that it will not sell user data to third parties unless it is part of bulk data used for statistics and research.
